How to Practice Bone Marrow Washing Effectively
1) Keep the Mind Quiet
Bone Marrow Washing combines meditation with moving qigong. When we shift our body weight front and back, we should do it slowly and deliberately. That way, we can experience easy breathing, equanimity, and even “poised” sensations. Then we’ll gradually enter the meditative state, or the “qigong state of mind”. Together with the help of the mantras, our consciousness (or shen ) returns to our own body centers, and our qi will penetrate deep inside our spine, “wash” our marrow, and eventually stimulate and activate our adult stem cells.

2) Be Aware of Whole Body Movement
Whenever we are moving part of our body, our whole body should follow. Please pay attention to the finger-meridian line connections. For example, when we are making small circles with our right index finger, we should feel that these tiny movements are ever spreading. They are rippling through our right wrist joint, our right shoulder joint, our hip joints, and our knee joints, till they finally get to our feet.

3) Sustained Tension is part of the training
It’s OK to place part of our body in sustained tension, so long as we can maintain other parts of our body in a relaxed state. This kind of training is obviously different from Wild Goose Qigong’s “sudden release” technique. But both techniques should be used in different situations and for different purposes.
